Equimeta Barn

Horse records app every detail in one timeline.

Vaccinations, farrier visits, vet exams, lameness notes, weights, ride logs — one searchable record per horse, kept on the device you actually have in the aisle. No more flipping through a paper barn book or scrolling text threads to find when the chiro was last out.

  • One timeline per horse, not per binder
  • Searchable across every entry
  • Share read access with your vet
  • Your records, exportable any time
What is in the records app

Every routine entry, on the same horse, on the same screen.

Designed around how horse owners actually log work — quick mobile entries from the aisle, full detail when you need it later.

Vaccination history

Log shots by horse with vaccine, lot number, vet, and date. Past doses stay on the timeline so you can see exactly when EWT, rabies, or rhino last went in.

Farrier visits

Track trim and shoeing dates per horse with farrier name, work done, and notes. Spot the horse that is slipping past its 6-week cycle before it goes lame.

Vet exams & lameness notes

Record exams, diagnoses, prescriptions, and follow-up plans. Attach notes from PPEs, pre-show soundness checks, and dental floats so the next vet visit starts with full context.

Weights & body condition

Track weight, BCS, and feeding adjustments over time so winter weight loss or summer top-line shifts are visible — not surprises.

Ride & training log

Note rides, lessons, schooling sessions, and competition days. Useful for mileage tracking, conditioning, and proving training history when you sell or insure.

Read access for vet & trainer

Invite your vet, farrier, or trainer to read the horse record without giving them the keys to the whole barn account. Useful for tele-consults and second opinions.

Common questions

What owners ask before they switch from a barn book.

Do I need a paid plan to keep horse records?
No. The Owner plan is free and covers 1–2 horses with full records, documents, expenses, and the care calendar. Paid plans add multi-horse capacity, team roles, and the growth tools (listings, directory, Deal Room) — see the pricing page for the full matrix.
Can I import my existing records?
Yes. You can import horses by spreadsheet and upload existing PDFs (Coggins, registration papers, vet reports) directly to the document drawer on each horse. Bulk record import is supported for vaccinations and farrier history; reach out if you have a large migration.
Will it work on my phone in the barn?
Yes. Equimeta is a mobile-first web app — works in any modern browser on iOS or Android with no app-store install. Save it to your home screen for one-tap access. Most owners enter records from their phone in the aisle.
Can my vet see the record without a full account?
Yes. You can grant read-only access to a specific horse for your vet, farrier, or trainer using the share controls on the horse profile. They see the timeline; they do not see your billing, other horses, or barn admin.
What if I leave Equimeta — do I lose my records?
No. You can export your horses, records, documents, and expense history at any time from the account export tool. We do not lock your data; it stays yours regardless of plan tier.

Start with one horse. The rest is free.

Owner plan covers 1–2 horses with full records, documents, expenses, and the care calendar — no card required. Bring the binder over, stop searching the group text for vaccine dates.
