Private beta
Barn team collaboration private-beta access only.
Roles, notes, tasks, and staff workflows are advanced barn operations. Join the waitlist instead of treating this as a public product surface.
- Roles for owners, trainers, staff, and viewers
- Tasks and notes attached to the horse
- Audit trail of who did what, when
- Per-horse permissions, not all-or-nothing
Built for the way real barns are actually staffed.
Not every owner needs to see the staff schedule. Not every working student needs to see boarding revenue. Permissions are per role and per horse — so the right people see the right things.
Roles & permissions
Predefined roles — owner, trainer, barn manager, working student, viewer — with sensible defaults. Override per user where needed (e.g. a part-time trainer who only sees their own training horses).
Tasks & assignments
Assign tasks to specific team members — turnout schedule, blanketing, supplement mixing, paddock rotation — with due dates and completion logging. Replaces the whiteboard nobody updates.
Notes attached to the horse
Sticky notes on a horse's profile — 'mare needs SmartPak refilled', 'gelding cribbing in west barn after dinner' — visible to permitted team members, not lost in a group text.
Owner & staff broadcasts
Send a single update to all owners (e.g. weather closure, vet day) or all staff (e.g. shift change) without spamming people who do not need to know.
Audit log
Every record edit, document upload, expense entry, and task completion is logged with who and when. Useful for boarding/training contracts and the rare 'who changed that?' moment.
Owner portal
Boarding and training clients get a clean, owner-only view of their own horse — records, documents, schedule, expenses on their account. They never see the rest of the barn.
What barn owners ask before they invite the team.
- How many team members can I invite?
- Team seats are private-beta and not broadly sold from this public page. Join the waitlist if your barn needs explicit ops access.
- Can I limit a trainer to only their training horses?
- Per-horse permissions are part of the private-beta scope, especially for trainers and professionals who only need access to specific horses.
- What does the audit log capture?
- Audit history is part of the advanced-ops beta, not a public default workflow in this phase.
- Can a boarding client log in to see only their horse?
- Client-only views remain beta territory. Public Equimeta focuses on records, marketplace, professionals, and transaction support.
- What happens to notes and tasks if a team member leaves?
- All entries authored by that team member stay attached to the horse and the audit log. The user account is removed (or downgraded to viewer) and they lose access immediately. The historical record stays intact for the barn.

We are keeping team roles and staff workflows private-beta while the public product stays focused on horse records and trusted transactions.
