Horse expense tracker cost breakdowns by waitlist.
Per-horse cost history can matter for sales, leases, insurance, and professional conversations. Join the waitlist as expense tools open.
- Per-horse cost tracking, not lumped barn totals
- Yearly P&L on any horse, one click
- Receipt photos attached to entries
- Exportable to CSV for your accountant
Built around the cost categories horse owners actually need.
Quick mobile entry from the feed store, full per-horse breakdown when tax season hits.
Vet & farrier categories
Pre-configured categories for vet, farrier, dental, chiro, and bodywork. Track recurring spend so you can spot the horse running an outsized vet bill before it becomes a surprise.
Feed, hay & supplements
Log feed, hay, and supplement spend per horse with quantity, vendor, and cost. Useful for hard-keeper budgeting and seasonal cost analysis.
Board, training & lessons
Recurring monthly board, training board, and lesson packages with auto-roll on the first of the month. See what a training horse actually costs to keep in program.
Show & competition costs
Entries, stalls, hauling, hotel, day fees, coaching — bundled per show so you know the all-in cost of a season, not just the entry fees.
Receipt attachments
Snap a photo of any receipt and attach it to the entry. Survives the wash cycle when paper receipts do not, and keeps an audit trail for sales-tax and depreciation arguments.
Per-horse P&L & exports
Yearly profit-and-loss per horse, cost-by-category breakdowns, and CSV export for your accountant or your own spreadsheet model. Useful for selling, leasing, or insurance value.
What owners ask before they commit to logging every receipt.
- Can I split a single expense across multiple horses?
- Multi-horse expense handling is part of the advanced barn-ops beta. Public access is waitlist-led while Equimeta focuses default discovery on marketplace and records.
- Does it support recurring monthly costs like board?
- Recurring monthly costs are private-beta territory, not a default public workflow in this phase.
- Can I import a year of expenses from a spreadsheet?
- Expense imports are handled case by case for early-access users. Join the waitlist and include what you need to track.
- Is this a substitute for accounting software?
- No — and it is not trying to be. Equimeta tracks per-horse cost so you know what each horse costs to keep. For invoicing clients, payroll, sales-tax filing, or a full chart of accounts, pair it with proper accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, etc.) and use the CSV export.
- Can my co-owner or syndicate partner see the costs?
- Permissioned cost sharing is part of the beta scope and will open with explicit access rather than broad public discovery.

We are keeping per-horse cost tools in private beta while public Equimeta stays focused on trusted transactions and horse records.
