Log horse care in My Barn — one record per horse.

Add horses, capture registration papers, log routine care, and activate Aftercare without losing the thread between vet, farrier, and trainer visits.

What you can do

Care logging built around the horse record.

Add horses two ways

Enter details manually or upload registration papers and review parsed fields before the horse lands in your barn.

Log routine care

Record vaccinations, farrier visits, dental work, and other services on the horse timeline.

Feed & medications

Track feed programs and medication schedules so the whole barn sees what each horse is on.

Care status at a glance

See what is due or overdue from the barn dashboard without digging through texts and spreadsheets.

Activate Aftercare

Turn on per-horse Horse Support Line and Aftercare from the same record when you want structured guidance.

Owner vs pro-managed

Owners run their own barn; trainers and barn managers use the pro workspace for client horses.

Step by step

Start with one horse, then build the routine.

  1. 1 Open My Barn and add a horse manually or upload registration papers.
  2. 2 Log care events, feed, and medications on the horse record.
  3. 3 Review care status from the barn view and activate Aftercare when needed.

FAQ

Common My Barn questions.

Where do I open My Barn?

Sign in and go to /barn from the main navigation. Each horse you add gets its own record with care history, documents, and optional Aftercare.

How does registration paper intake work?

When adding a horse, upload registration papers as photos or PDFs. Equimeta parses registry fields for you to review and apply before the horse is saved — faster than typing every line by hand.

What care can I log?

Vaccinations, farrier visits, dental floats, feed program changes, medications, and related barn care events. The goal is one timeline per horse instead of scattered notes.

How is this different from the horse records waitlist page?

My Barn is the live product surface for care logging today. The horse records app marketing page covers broader records features on the waitlist; this guide covers what you can do in the app now.

Can my trainer manage horses for me?

Yes. Pros with managed-horse access log care and send invoices from the pro workspace. See the pro workspace guide if your barn runs on a trainer or barn manager account.

How do I turn on Aftercare?

Open the horse in My Barn and activate Basic Aftercare from the horse record. Upgrade to Plus or Concierge from the Aftercare panel when you need structured expert Q&A.
