( read more ) Raven rides both English and western and is just as comfortable in the arena as she is out on the trail. She has been used in lessons and is patient, steady, and forgiving, making her a great fit for a family, lesson program, first-time horse owner, or someone looking for a safe and dependable horse to enjoy. She has a good handle, responsive without being overly forward, and does not need an experienced rider to keep her together. Raven is the kind you can pull out, saddle up, and go ride without a lot of preparation or fuss. On the trail she is confident and sensible, and in the arena she is broke enough to be enjoyable for a more experienced rider while still being forgiving for someone learning. One of Raven’s best qualities is her ground manners. She is respectful, easy to handle, and pleasant to have around the barn. She also stands on big, solid bare feet and has been an easy mare to keep. Raven would be an excellent choice for someone wanting a genuinely broke, versatile mare that can accommodate a wide range of riders. She has the education, experience, and steady demeanor that make a good family or lesson horse hard to replace." Platinum Equine Auction
