We have put him through every test possible, and he handles everything with ease, confidence, and comfort. Absolutely no silliness whatsoever. Literally a baby could ride him. His stunning dappled buckskin color as well as his kind eye is just perfection! You can step into the arena and go head a steer on a pro-level performance horse, then step out and put your 2-year-old on him, and he will take care of that child like gold. Waylon is truly one of a kind—dependable, consistent, and always willing to give his best. He meets you at the gate for affection, gets along great with other horses, and is an easy keeper. Waylon is a proven, pro-level head horse, suitable for an advanced roper all the way down to a beginner. He stands in the box and scores like a statue, runs hard, and rates perfectly, making him an ideal partner whether you’re learning to rope or chasing the NFR. He is extremely soft in the bridle—so soft he rides just as well bridleless. He’s trained like a reiner, with a big stop when asked, or simply saying “whoa” and he’s there. He is very responsive, smooth, and user-friendly. We have even ridden him English and popped him over jumps, and he loved it. Honestly, there isn’t anything we have asked of him that he hasn’t excelled at with ease. Waylon loves the trails, goes through water, and we’ve even fished off of him. He is a true gentleman at all times. He comes from a long line of top-notch show horses and could easily succeed in multiple AQHA disciplines—from Ranch Trail and Ranch Pleasure to Team Roping and beyond. Waylon will sidepass to open and shut gates and never hesitates or says no to anything asked of him. He ground ties to be saddled, stands perfect for farrier, loads and unloads in trailer with ease, stands quiet for mounting and waits for you to queue him before he takes a step. Waylon is the kind of horse that only comes around once in a lifetime. It’s getting harder and harder to find this kind of horse because most people don’t sell them. Unfortunately, we can’t keep them all and we are blessed to offer such a nice gelding to the public. The training and temperament Waylon has is simply “THE BEST”!
