$10,500 USD Disciplines: Cross-Country, Dressage, Eventing, Jumping, Pony Club Tommy is an 11-year-old, 14.3+hh grade Appy gelding capable of filling up a rider’s leg. He has a lovely way of going—purposeful, sporty, uphill—and moves happily in front of the leg. Some of the riders we’ve had on him say that he feels springy. Since we acquired him, Tommy has gained valuable experience and exposure in different environments, showing his willingness and steady attitude wherever he goes. He’s been with us since the Spring and has developed a strong foundation ready to take him in many directions. Tommy's sale is by no fault of his own. We purchased him specifically to train and resell. Tommy has lovely, light transitions and good lateral work. He prefers a quiet hand and responds well to seat and leg aids and has good brakes. He’s currently jumping 2’6” in the arena and continues to show natural athleticism, bravery, and scope for higher. Tommy is best matched with someone who enjoys a responsive, athletic partner. He is not what we would classify as a husband horse, but Tommy has never been unsafe under saddle. He is good on trails, just not the nose to tail, half asleep kind of ride. He will lead or follow politely and is quite happy to navigate terrain, water, etc. He has the finesse for Dressage, scope for Jumpers, and the boldness of an Event horse. Working Equitation, Fox Hunting, Paperchase or Endurance could also be in his future as this guy never runs out of go! With his summer of growth and confidence, Tommy would make a wonderful partner for a capable young rider, pony clubber or an adult amateur looking for a fun, talented, and eye-catching horse. He’s ready to go out and have some fun! Tommy is ApHC registration eligible for any who may be interested. He is up to date on all shots, coggins, dental and farrier. He currently goes in front shoes because of full time work but we don’t see a reason why he couldn’t transition to barefoot. Tommy has a cuddly, in your pocket personality and stands for all the important things! He currently lives out 24/7 with other horses with no issues. No injuries or vices, just a slightly needy tail that has grown and we believe will continue to grow!
