Temperament & Management
The Competitor
Athletic, forward, and mentally steady enough to stay useful under pressure. Has the engine to move up and the brain to stay there - doesn't need babysitting in warm-up or convincing at the gate. Suited to riders who want to climb levels, not just maintain them.
About this horse
Barrel racing is this mare’s primary use, with established experience in both barrels and poles. The listing describes her as a seasoned 20-year-old AQHA Quarter Horse mare standing 14.3 hands, with a free-running style and consistent 21-22 second pole runs. She has prior mileage through high school and junior rodeos, and more recently has been ridden and shown by a 12-year-old who has been placing on her. The ad presents her as an honest, job-oriented performance horse suited as a step-up mount rather than a first starter, with disclosed maintenance consisting of hock and back injections and current Lasix use.
