Offering for sale to a good home only, Piper— a short, stocky and adorable 9 year old bay mare. Piper is 13.2 hands and a little chunker. Perfect for someone who doesn’t want a petite horse but also doesn’t want to mountain climb up on one! This little cutie is isn’t registered but she’s put together well, sure footed and athletic but not quick or jiggy. She picks up her leads, stops well, has a nice slow lope and awesome little jog. ... ( read more ) She side passes and pivots and slows down off of your seat, and has a good whoa button. She’d make an excellent recreational riding or playday horse. She hasn’t been sped up on the pattern yet, so she trots and lopes pretty little playday patterns such as barrels, poles and straight away barrels. Someone could easily speed her up if they desired, or keep her calm, cool and collected just the way she is now. She also rides bareback! In addition to her riding, Piper is also professionally trained on the ground and has excellent ground manners and natural horsemanship training. She backs, yields her hind quarters and forequarters, lunges beautifully with respectful and smooth direction changes, and does advance maneuvers like circle drive and JoinUp. Piper will cross water, go over tarps, doesn’t care about plastic bags or pool noodles, etc. She stands tied great, saddles easy, loads on the trailer and unloads with ease, etc. Gets along with other horses and can be pastured or stalled.
