Smooth N Malicious, affectionately known as Sniper, is a 4-year-old Red Roan Quarter Horse gelding who combines big-time performance talent with a quiet, dependable attitude. Sniper is by top sire Metallic Malice who is a proven producer of top-tier cow horses, rope horses, and performance stock with offspring earnings in excess of $691,000. Snipers dam ,Smooth at Noon, is an NCHA earner of ~$7,000. Sniper is an NRCHA money earner in both the Non-Pro and Open divisions. He is confident, calm, and cowy. Sniper is extremely easygoing and forgiving—practically anyone can step on and ride him. My boyfriend's novice kids ride him, but he has enough go and style to be shown by both open and Non-Pro riders. Even though Sniper is easy going, he has tons of try and grit. This boy can go all day long, but is not hot. If you're looking for the type of horse that is steady and confident enough to trail ride, rope, and work cows with, but is flashy and talented enough to show, this is your guy! Sniper has been trained and shown as a reined cow horse, however he would be equally, if not more successful , as a rope horse. He is being started out of the box, knows how to track a cow, and has everything it takes to turn into a bang-up rope horse. Sniper is an absolute dream to travel with and as easy as they come to trailer—he will literally load himself. He's excellent for the farrier, quiet, and completely hassle-free around the barn.
