About this horse

$45,000 USD FIRM Disciplines: Barrel Racing, Barrels-Poles-Gymkhana, Pole Bending, Rodeo, Rodeo Pickup, Trail Riding, Working Cattle *WARNING! YOU WILL TURN HEADS AND GET NOTICED WITH THIS BEAUTIFUL BUCKSKIN PAINT!* All the hard work has been done! You just need to keep adding the speed! Skippy has been trained by some of the greats in the barrel world including Lindsay Schulz, Janet Erickson, and Chenessa McGraw. Skippy was started slow and correct by Megan Zapel in Ellensburg. He has been exposed to everything... cattle, trails, etc. I still own Skippy's dam who is one of our best horses. I bred her to French Bull Biankus in 2016 with every intention of keeping him forever. Skippy is a gentle giant.... did I mention giant? GIANT! So if you don't like running big horses, he is not for you. I have been trying to make it work with him for years, and I am beginning to realize that I just can't ride him very well. I am short, with short legs, and I am just honestly not a fan. Posting him for sale does not come lightly at all... he is part of our family.. Skippy is my heart and soul. He definitely doesn't have to go, and I will just keep trying to get with him. Skippy is finally gaining speed. He had a beautiful 3D run in Twin Bridges the other night, unleashing his speed and potential. He has placed in the 3D at other races and also won me two buckles in the 4D. He is not a barrel hitter and will give you a nice honest run every time. He is pretty automatic and walks in flat footed until you send him. A lot of hard work and training has gone into this big beautiful boy. He has all the buttons. He loads in any trailer everytime (even if he barely fits). He gets along well with other horses and is great for the farrier. A handy youth could easily ride him if they feel comfortable riding a horse this big. He has never ever bucked, reared, or any other funny business. He is patterned on poles and has never hit a pole! This horse has the mind and training you could do anything with him. He would make a killer pick up horse! No maintenance required. I do give him the full round of Adequan in the spring as a preventative. I am happy to answer any questions you have, and I have tons of stats and videos. PPE welcome at buyer's expense. Please don't waste my time if you don't have the money. I do not want to sell him sight unseen. I want you to come out and meet him, and try him. He is very special to us and will only go to an approved home. Price is firm.
