About this horse

$6,500 USD NEGOTIABLE Disciplines: Drill Team, Equitation, Family-Safe, Lesson, Western Beautiful registered Half-Arabian bay mare, just turned 10, looking for the right person. She is a well-broke, athletic mare with a good head, a solid foundation, and experience both in the arena and on the trail. She has a good walk, trot and canter, stop, nice bend, side pass, forehand and haunch turns. She has participated in drill team and is an excellent trail horse. She is generally confident and willing, does not tend to spook, and is comfortable in a variety of environments. She has a spirited Arabian personality and does best with a rider who takes the time to build a relationship and earn her trust. Once that partnership is established, she is very willing and tries hard for her person. Excellent ground manners. She is polite, stands nicely for grooming and handling, and stands well for the farrier. Self loads into trailer easily and hauls quietly. She is an easy keeper and requires no maintenance. She does need front shoes when being used consistently. No bucking or kicking. She stands nicely tied, although she has pulled back in the past and may test this in a new or unfamiliar environment. A Tie Blocker ring is an effective way to manage this and can alleviate the issue while she becomes comfortable in a new setting. She is safe and sane, however would be best suited to an intermediate rider or a confident beginner working with a trainer or in a lesson program. She would make a nice 4-H prospect for the right youth and family, as well as a versatile trail, arena or drill horse. Has been trail ridden in a mountain environment and high lined. Videos available.
