About this horse
Rolls Royce (Royce) 5YO 16HH Black Shire/Friesian Gelding Goes Western, English & Trained to Drive! Smooth & Safe 1st Level AA/Youth Dressage Mount Clean 2025 neck, back & leg X-rays available Deer Park, WA Royce has respectable ground manners and is easy to handle in all aspects. He lunges, long lines, drives, stands quietly to be mounted, ties, bathes, and hauls well. He is barefoot with solid feet and stands well for the farrier. He lives comfortably with both geldings and mares in a pasture setting—low on the totem pole and simply wants to make friends. No known health or soundness issues. Vaccinations, coggins and dentistry updated in December 2025. Royce has been in a full-time training program with us for the past year and is currently schooling First Level. He is a true standout in the lower-level dressage ring. Shown by both adult and youth riders, he has scored consistently in the 70s at Training Level. He shows clear potential to progress up the levels, with fool proof leg yields, balanced canter transitions, and a solid halt. Royce has been hauled extensively to both indoor and outdoor venues for schooling and shows and remains the same easygoing gelding off property. Smooth, consistent trot and canter and rides well connected to the seat, leg, and voice. He is more of a kick ride for beginners but easily forward for a confident, capable rider. Royce requires no prep and is truly a “get on and go” type. He is not spooky and is quite brave on the trail. He hauls out regularly and will walk, trot, and canter on a loose rein alone, behind, or in front of another horse. Currently ridden in a three-piece lozenge eggbutt but comfortable in multiple bit setups, including bitless. He has been ridden in spurs and with a whip. No bucking, rearing, bolting, or biting. Royce would be well suited as a family mount, lesson horse, or dressage partner. He is a lovable, dopey gelding with well-rounded training who would thrive having his own people. Current owner purchased an older draft cross and needs to find this good boy a home. Comprehensive, healthy veterinary exam available for viewing from initial PPE. Mid/Low Fives (3x,xxx) Showings available in person or virtually. Shipping easily arranged with hauler connections across the US.
