About this horse

Ringo Star is a stunning 12-year-old well-bred Connemara gelding, and he is the definition of the perfect all-around horse with serious dressage potential. Judges consistently love him, people often ask about his breeding, and he is the type of horse that makes every ride feel easy. He is naturally balanced, an exceptional mover, incredibly comfortable to sit, and very easy to enjoy every day. ... ( read more ) As an eventer, he is almost always in the top 3 after dressage, regularly scoring in the 20s. While he enjoys jumping and hacking out, dressage is clearly his strength and where he is happiest. With the right rider, he has the ability for upper-level dressage, or he would be just as happy being your best friend. Ringo has a huge, kind, golden-retriever personality and is a true gentleman to have in the barn. He wants to be your best friend, loves attention, and thrives when he has his own person. He is very safe, with no naughty behavior — aside from being a little lazy at the start of the ride until he gets going. Suitable for a beginner as long as they are in a program. He is the same horse in any environment and actually loves going to shows and new places. He is versatile and fun — • Loves dressage • Happy on trails • Enjoys jumping • Easy to take around a lower-level jumper or XC course …but his ideal home is one where he can focus primarily on dressage with his rider. Sound with no maintenance. Front shoes and pads due to a past bone bruise from his eventing days. He had EPM as a young horse (fully recovered) and is maintained on Vitamin E. Because of how special he is, the right home is the most important thing, and we will be very selective about where he goes. He deserves a program where he is appreciated and has his own person.
