About this horse

$25,000 USD Disciplines: Champion, Champion Pedigree, Endurance Riding This horse is awesome. He is solid and could easily be a heavyweight horse. He recently passed a very thorough PPE with x rays, and excellent remarks on how well he did on the pre purchase. We have had “Bruce” in our program for two years now, and he’s been such a cool dude. He came to use as an insecure green horse, and he just blossomed, and matured so very much. He has completed numerous 50’s, and also completed Tevis this year. Bruce has plenty of talent and he is not offered because he isn’t making the cut, or there is something wrong with him. The nature of the business is that sometimes we have to sell horses we don’t want to sell. I’d very happily lease him for Tevis and keep him as well…. We have chosen to offer him as personally I prefer mares, and he has proven to be a nice reliable dude who I think somebody will really enjoy. He did AMAZING on Tevis and I think that is his jam. He is a great hill horse but also happily does the flats. Is he a lightening fast win everything FEI horse? No, I don’t think so. Does he have the potential to Top 10 Tevis? Yes, I feel strongly that he does. Would he be fine going any pace you want and just cranking out the miles? Absolutely yes! He is NOT race brained and will happily run up front or toddle around at the back of the pack if that’s what the plan is for the day. If you are looking for a horse to take up the levels in Dressage, Bruce isn’t it. He doesn’t love the arena but it really does benefit him. He has a strong preference towards being on the trail! He is not suitable for a beginner, he has been ridden by advanced beginners but only under supervision. He is still a young horse and requires some confidence from his human. Bruce is absolutely simple to ride. Goes down the trail on a loose rein, doesn’t pull. Not complicated at all! No special “don’t put your leg here , don’t open a water bottle, don’t keep your hands inside the bus, etc”, he is easy. We have now had several lease riders on him as well successfully. He absolutely THRIVES in a program! He loves consistency and does best with some sort of regular work. I would not recommend him for a nervous rider that rides alone once a month. If you want a horse ready to go now and ride a few times a week, Bruce is 100 mile fit and ready to go. He has had zero maintenance other than a dose of Legend before Tevis (I do this routinely for all horses). He is UTD on all health care, shoeing, and has had regular body work. No special needs. No maintenance. I did treat him for ulcers at the end of this season because I felt like he did a lot and I don’t think it could hurt. Prefers a pasture vs stall. This horse is awesome. He shares a sire with our 3x Top Ten Tevis horse, and 100 NC, Chndakasexpress, and also with Haggin Cup & Multiple Tevis Top 10 mare, Chndakas Eklipse.
