Temperament & Management
The All-Rounder
Comfortable in the middle of everything, which is rarer than it sounds. Enough forward to stay honest, enough patience to wait for you. Not a specialist - a generalist. The kind of horse that makes a good program great, or a rough patch survivable.
About this horse
Raven is turning 5 in May. I raised him from a colt. He is Arabian, and from the experience I have had he looks like he is Polish bred. He is not registered, but came from fine stock. He has strong legs and his body is sturdy. I believe he would make a great endurance horse in years to come as he is young. Last summer I had 45 days of professional training put on him. He did great, even on trails. He is 16 hands and possibly will grow a bit more. He is calm and nice to work with. Even though he is gelded he still likes the girls. He was last ridden in October. He gets along with other horses and is the lead in his pasture. He trailers, leads, gets trims well. I would recommend someone who would finish him gently. He responds to a gentle but firm hand, and he likes women.
