The Competitor

Athletic, forward, and mentally steady enough to stay useful under pressure. Has the engine to move up and the brain to stay there - doesn't need babysitting in warm-up or convincing at the gate. Suited to riders who want to climb levels, not just maintain them.

About this horse

Private Treaty Message for Price Disciplines: 4H, Barefoot Hoofcare, Cowhorse, Eventing, Kid-Friendly, Performance, Playday, Ranch Sorting, Ranch Trail Class, Ranch Work “Benjamin” has been a rock solid testament to our program. He started easy, he retains and is smart, and is just a really neat horse. Family horse deluxe in the making! Kids horse in another year or so! Benji has been rode in the arena and will sit down on his ass to stop, he’s been out in the mountains packing, he’s been out in the mountains moving cattle, and most recently he’s been at a feedlot checking health, working gates, and doctoring yearlings! He does have a neck rein/rides off the leg when outside. He will rein in the arena decently, still needs work to finish. He’s really easy to be around, first to the gate, good with mares and geldings, respects barbed and hot fence, he’s easy to catch. He has been hobbled but he’s not a pro at it. Benji has been hauled around, he paw by himself, he handles indoor arenas well and commotion of people and other horses without batting an eye. He had his first show in March and he’ll be attending more until he sells. He rides soft in a halter, bit, or bosel, I’d trust this horse in any situation in any location, by himself or in a group. He’s UTD on shots and wormer and just had his dental in November 2025. *He has 1 blemish on the hind pastern, it has not affected him, it’s just cosmetic and has not affected him at all. He’s had 3 sets of shoes on, he was fine overall, but he can act like a baby for the hinds, he’s young and more life experience needed. Message for any additional questions or video. He was started by us, all footage is in his album on our page. PPE at buyers expense. Benji has: Trail Rode, Packed, Mountain Rode, Gathered cattle, doctored in the feedlot, works the feedlot gates, arena rides, knows his leads, NO BUCK, Gentle, easy to be around, been hauled many times, not nervous in new environments, ridden in indoor arena, not spooky, list goes on...
