The All-Rounder

Comfortable in the middle of everything, which is rarer than it sounds. Enough forward to stay honest, enough patience to wait for you. Not a specialist - a generalist. The kind of horse that makes a good program great, or a rough patch survivable.

About this horse

Not For Sale Princeton is a soon to be six yo DHH cross with four months professional training in working equitation. I am a barn manager at a premium horse farm in the Oregon – Fitchburg Wisconsin area, and seeking someone to help me continue to bring this horse along. He needs consistent work on the basics with an experienced rider with a great seat and clear communication. He enjoys the trails, working obstacles and working outside. We have a beautiful indoor arena as well to ride year-round. He only has an English saddle fitted so far, was trained Western as well but will need a saddle. He is big, sweet, and funny, well versed in groundwork and a bit on the testy side but he's young. Doesn’t pull anything under saddle but needs consistent rides, more conditioning and development. I'm very busy with managing the farm here so hoping for a long-term partnership if possible. Rate would be $350 per month which might be negotiable (the board here is $750-800) and at least one $50 lesson with his current trainer per month. I pay vet and farrier and extras. He’s a young guy with lots of potential and a big personality! The other boarders and caretakers just really love him as do I.
