About this horse

At Auction – Sale Date: Feb 28, 2026 Disciplines: 4H, Beginner-Safe, Cutting, Mountain Trail, Ranch Versatility, Ranch Work, Reining-Cowhorse-Cutting, Rider Level-Novice, Team Roping, Trail Riding "To truly appreciate & believe everything Phoenix has to offer you & your family, FIRST watch his video and SECOND schedule a time to try him for yourself! THE King of Kings!! A Champion, Peaceful, Adaptive, Talented, Reliable, Handsome, and Easy Going are the words consistently used to describe this handsome rascal. The close partnership we all strive to achieve with our horses is made instantly with “Phoenix”; he wants to be your buddy & partner. The best babysitter & coach —he has a way of making you feel confident in any situation with his tranquil, forgiving demeanor. He is one gelding we have tortured ourselves over, keeping in our program & part of the TPH team. It’s been a difficult decision to let him go. Cuter than a button, built like a Mack truck, and sprinkled with silver! As a multi-talented and highly sought-after horse, Phoenix is eligible for Ranching Heritage, Riata Buckle, and Royal Crown Incentives. He has a very smooth way of traveling, is easy to sit all day, and is no work in the saddle. Never any hassle, always gentle and very pleasing. Hop on him bareback and take an uneventful cruise on the trails! Deemed a winner in so many events, a semi-finalist in the NCHA Futurity, and an earner of in excess of $8500. As a seasoned Head, Heel, and Breakaway gelding, he has been hauled on both ends from the 7.5 to the 12.5 ropings with various numbers of ropers. He is honest for a #3 yet steps his game up for the higher number of ropers, and he has quite an eye appeal too! Not only is he accomplished in roping events, but he is also competitive in cutting, cow horse, and ranch versatility events. He performs willingly and maneuvers smoothly, with a smooth trot and lope. Fun in the ranch trail too! A ligament cow horse knows how to handle a cow across the pasture, sorting, taking one down the fence, or running one across the pen. The VERY BEST Trail and Ranch Horse has seen all types of terrain from the mountains & rivers of Montana to the deserts.
