Sired by the most famous show jumper of all time, Darco. Darco has produced the most offspring competing at the Grand Prix level, in the world. Monkey is not only the most handsome horse you've ever seen, but he is also an absolute pleasure to have in the barn in every aspect. 100% best friend material right here! Monkey was bred and raised at the beautiful SE Farms in Oregon by owner Rose Sullivan who is widely known for breeding hundreds of top athletes in our industry. Monkey spent several years being leased by a wonderful AA rider in California who competed Monkey up to 1.20m. Although Monkeys show record is not a mile long it is due to no fault of his own. His leaser simply preferred quality time with her horse over showing extensively. When the lease expired Monkey returned to Oregon and had a well deserved vacation before traveling to Texas to start training again. Monkey is not only a blast to jump, but has wonderful flat work on him as well. He is steady in the bridle with a soft and educated mouth. He has rhythmical gaits and loves a good stretchy trot and cantering around on the buckle. Lead changes not currently auto as they were never drilled, but he's making progress in that area. Monkey is a very special horse and we feel he would be best suited for an AA in a program or a young pro who wants to build a strong relationship with their horse. It's our opinion that Monkeys sweet spot will be around 1.20-1.30m. We also feel Monkey has the potential to compete in the Equitation ring or possibly all three rings with the right direction. Monkey could also be fun to take to some dressage shows! Sound, UTD on everything. Teeth floated last week. May require some routine maintenance if jumping big and working hard.
