( read more ) And if you’re a parent… or a cautious rider… You know the real fear isn’t riding. It’s what could happen. What if he moves too fast? What if he gets nervous? What if he spooks with my child on him? What if I make the wrong choice? Paddington was built to quiet those thoughts. He is slow and deliberate. He is not quick-footed. He is not reactive. He does not rush off when mounted, and he does not look for reasons to get excited. For the youngest of riders, he offers something priceless — predictability. He stands to mount. He waits. He walks off quietly. He keeps the same steady rhythm without constant correction. And for moms who still want to enjoy riding too? Paddington is not dull or lifeless. He is safe — but still sporty enough to be fun. He has enough movement and responsiveness to keep an experienced rider smiling, without ever crossing into intimidating. He is the kind you can trust with your child… and still feel confident swinging a leg over yourself. Because let’s be honest — many parents carry a double fear: Fear for their child. And fear of buying the wrong horse. “What if he changes at our barn?” “What if he acts different off property?” “What if today isn’t like yesterday?” Paddington has proven consistency. He handles new environments with the same quiet mindset he shows at home. He does not feed off chaos. He does not escalate energy. He remains level-headed. He gives riders time. And time is what builds confidence — especially in children. For families who want safety without stiffness… Steadiness without boredom… And a horse that grows with both child and parent… Paddington offers more than just a kind personality. He offers security. And security is what allows kids to fall in love with riding — and moms to relax while they do. *All horses at CSH enjoy 24/7 turnout with a mixed herd when not in training. Training weeks they spend 3 days inside for work and 3 days off to relax. We do not feed grain but the horses to have 24/7 access to premium western alfalfa. All horses are up to date with vaccinations and worming. They are all on a 6 week farrier rotation as well and some are shod due to our rocky trails. We only train in a loose ring snaffle in western tack and a loose ring, French link or full cheek snaffle in English. Feel free to call or text me with any questions about horse care or training.* *All of our descriptions are OUR OPINION and ARE NOT FACTS.
