Paco Taco

About this horse

$3,000 USD NEGOTIABLE Taco is looking for his next barn! ❤️ Taco is a 6-8 year-old, 33-inch miniature horse gelding looking for somewhere someone can give him the time, patience, and attention he deserves. Taco has been seen by our veterinarian and is current on his vaccinations, Coggins, deworming, and farrier work. He has also had his sheath cleaned, teeth floated, and one of his eyes checked recently. Taco does have an issue with one of his eyes but he doesn't let It effect him. At some point in his life, prior to us owning him, he had an ulcer in that eye. As a result, he has a scar on the eye and has lost a small amount of vision in that eye. Our vet has checked it, and I am more than happy to discuss his eye and history with anyone who is potentially interested in him. There's nothing active happening in his eye and it is not painful for him. I want his next home to know everything about him in order to find the best fit possible. Unless you knew about his scar on his eye, you would never even know about it. Taco isn't awful for the farrier, but trimming definitely isn't his favorite thing in the world. He stands tied, leads, loads, and hauls. He currently stays on a dry lot during the day and comes inside during the night/inclement weather. He does very well in a stall with no issues. The only reason he is kept on a dry lot is because one of our other minis has to be on one and they stay together. Prior to us owning him, I have no idea if he was kept on pasture or on a dry lot. Taco has been around both full-size horses and other miniature horses and has done well with everyone - including a pesky mini foal. He is an extremely sweet, kindhearted little gelding who I truly believe could make a fantastic little pony for some kids someday. He just needs someone willing to put some time and patience into him and continue building his confidence and education. We have seen Taco ridden by a child, and we do have videos of that that I would be happy to share. However, that was prior to us purchasing him. He has primarily been used for lead-line activities for our kiddo. One of the things I love most about Taco is how patient and gentle he is with our toddler. She can go catch him, lead him around anywhere and everywhere, and he is incredibly patient with her. He is very gentle, very kind, and just an all-around sweet little guy. He is also the first one to the gate and absolutely loves attention. If you have time to give him, he will happily soak up every bit of love and attention you are willing to give him. Taco isn't looking for just any home. I'm looking for someone who will appreciate what a sweet little guy he is, be patient with him, and give him the opportunity to become the pony I believe he can be. If you think Taco might be a good fit for you or your family, please reach out. I am happy to answer questions, discuss his eye, send videos, and talk more about him and what kind of home I feel would be best for him. We are in Madison County Indi
