Temperament & Management
The All-Rounder
Comfortable in the middle of everything, which is rarer than it sounds. Enough forward to stay honest, enough patience to wait for you. Not a specialist - a generalist. The kind of horse that makes a good program great, or a rough patch survivable.
About this horse
$12,500 USD Disciplines: Beginner-Safe, Dressage, Hunter, Lesson, Schoolmaster, Show Experience, Trail Riding Steal of a deal on a short stirrup schoolmaster who has taught many young riders the ropes in the H/J ring. Enjoys jumping, brave and steady with a change. Smooth ride, cute mover, and solid flat work. I could see Bea making the transition to a lower level dressage career - she is capable through training level and has dabbled with first level work recently. A kick ride but has a motor once she gets moving. Nearly anyone can ride but a little too clever for brand new beginners.. Well traveled and experienced. Has done local shows, IEA, Pony Club, and rated H/J shows all over the west coast. Sustained injury to RH superficial flexor tendon summer of 2024 by kicking paddock fence. Has been in rehab with a professional from mid August 2024 through present. Vet records and full daily record of rehab will be made available to interested parties. Currently sound at WTC, injury is stable and cleared by veterinarian (9/9/2025) to work back up to jumping over the next 10 weeks. Should stay around 2ft and under long term on good footing (XC not recommended). No current maintenance but may need maintenance in future if she continues to jump. Currently jumping single fences a couple times a week and teaching advanced beginner/intermediate lessons. Rides out on trails alone or in company, routine oriented, safe. Loads, bathes, clips, stands for farrier. Shod in front. I could see her doing the lesson horse job but she would make a nice mount for a small adult that just wants to have fun and stay safe too. Very easy keeper who does *not* enjoy full turnout - Bea gets about a half day of turnout in a gravel paddock and the rest of the day she likes to be in her stall thank you very much. Does not share fence line politely with most geldings but makes friends with other mares. Maintained on Regumate. Lots of pictures and videos available on request.
