The Forward Ride
Good motor, even head. This horse wants to go, and mostly goes about it in an uncomplicated way. Athletic without the edge, forward without the drama. The kind of horse that makes ambitious goals feel possible without making every ride an event.
About this horse
Dressage-oriented with stated suitability for Cowboy Dressage, Ranch Versatility, and trail riding, this 8-year-old black gelding is described as having a solid foundation both on the ground and under saddle. The listing cites a working knowledge of groundwork, soft contact in the bridle, lateral exercises including shoulder-in and leg-yield, and smooth simple transitions. He is presented as forward enough to show impulsion while remaining comfortable to sit, with a large, ground-covering stride and a willing, forgiving way of going. Handling notes include tying, bathing, trailer loading, and standing for the farrier. The seller also states that children of multiple ages have ridden him safely, and that he is current on routine care, an easy keeper, and backed by 2024 radiographs with PPE welcomed.
