About this horse

$9,500 USD NEGOTIABLE Nova is a 12 year old bay mare standing a solid 15.2 hands, with the kind of presence, training, and dependability that make her a standout in any program. She is a very broke, well finished using mare with a great foundation and a level mind. In the arena, Nova is a pleasure to ride. She neck reins with ease, carries herself naturally collected, and pivots correctly and willingly on her hind end. She rides primarily off your seat and body cues, making her feel soft, responsive, and connected. Her trot is smooth and steady with a natural low headset, and she lopes off on a simple one step cue into a comfortable lope. She has a confident, clean stop and stays quiet and patient throughout her work. Nova is also well trained in more advanced maneuvers. She side passes willingly and has been trained to carry the American flag, handling it calmly and without hesitation. She has been extensively ridden outside and has seen a wide variety of terrain, obstacles, and environments. Whether it is hills, water, bridges, open fields, or wooded trails, she navigates everything with confidence. She is used to busy settings and is unfazed by dogs, traffic, vehicles, and farm equipment. Nova is the kind of mare you can take out no matter the conditions and trust to remain level headed and reliable. On the ground, she is equally impressive. Nova shows excellent manners, is easy to handle, and is very respectful of space. She stands tied quietly, saddles and bridles without issue, and enjoys being bathed and groomed. She stands well for the farrier and loads, unloads, and hauls with zero fuss. In a herd setting, she is middle of the pecking order and gets along well with both mares and geldings. Nova would be well suited for a beginner intermediate rider who wants a confident, kind, and forgiving partner with enough training to help them continue progressing. She is broke, dependable, and ridden regularly, making her a great match for someone who values safety, consistency, and responsiveness. Nova is fully maintained and ready to go. She is up to date on all routine care, including a current negative Coggins, recent deworming, a rabies vaccine, and a thorough health and lameness evaluation completed on 11/17/2025. She has been consistently cared for, ridden, and kept in a solid program. Overall, Nova is a dependable, versatile, and exceptionally well broke mare suitable for riders seeking a trustworthy partner with training, reliability, and a willing attitude. She is the kind you can enjoy in the arena, take down the trail, and confidently put to work.
