I told Hickory to 11 hands, is too large to show in the miniature horse association. I was looking for Shetland Pony to provide companionship to my young quarter horse gelding and give pony rides to my grandbabies. Buddy is perfect... the smartest animal I've ever known. He's been longed over poles and low jumps. He's been ridden (walk/trot) in the arena as well as through the farm's hay fields. His steering is very good, he gives to leg pressure, and he knows the word whoa. He has never been ridden at a lope. I have no one small enough to ride him at a lope so he. He is ready for someone to finish his training. He loves an adventure and he loads/trailers easily. At only 4 years old he has been shown in confirmation winning multiple blue ribbons. He has no ZERO bad habits. Buddy is the cutest and sweetest little guy ever. We love him dearly.
