About this horse

$6,500 Skills: Trail Riding 7 yr old, 14.3H black gelding. Buddy has a wonderful, consistent, solid four beat trail gait. He is sound, and is a very easy keeper. He has good hard feet which allows him to go barefoot in the mountains on rocky ground. He is good to trim his feet. I have ridden him a lot in the mountains with my husband's horse. He will lead and follow on the trail. He does not buck or rear, and is kind. He goes quietly on a loose rein. He does still need work on going out alone. ... ( read more ) He can be watchy and might spook when out by himself because he still needs to build his confidence in going out alone. I am 75 and my husband is 80, we have four horses and want to cut back to two. I do love Buddy. He always meets me at the gate. He is a sensitive, responsive horse who likes to learn and enjoys being handled. I would like to find a younger, talented horseman who can continue to develop Buddy into the best possible horse that he can be.
