About this horse

$750 Skills: Parade, Playday, Project, Ridden Western, Trail, Trail Riding Miss Kipling is a smart, friendly mare and a smooth, comfortable ride. She’s best suited for trail riding or arena work. She’s a beautiful horse and, with the right guidance, could do well at playdays or in show settings. Kip always stands out, thanks to her great conformation and nice headset. Like her sire, she isn’t driven by speed but will get up and go when asked, which can be a real plus for the right rider. Miss Kipling is enjoyable to ride and has a lovely trot and a smooth lope once she gets going. ... (read more) She’s mostly been ridden Western at Nexus, but she would look just as good in an English saddle. She enjoys being brushed and stands quietly for fly spray, making grooming her easy. Kipling is a smart horse and will sometimes test her handler. She still needs to work on things like moving her hindquarters, feeling confident away from other horses, tying, and loading. With a confident, experienced handler who can give her steady training, she’ll become an excellent horse quickly. If you enjoy groundwork, she could be a great fit. She’s full of try and personality, which makes her fun to work with. Her potential to develop into a confident, well-rounded horse can inspire experienced riders to see her as a rewarding project. While Miss Kipling is with us, we’ll keep working on the areas where she needs more training. Don’t miss your chance to own this beautiful, smart mare. She’s a great match for someone who feels confident in their horsemanship and wants to help a horse succeed. She could really succeed anywhere, in any discipline, with a good, patient handler. Come check her out! This is a wonderful opportunity to bring home a versatile horse with lots of potential for growth and success. She did race in her youth, but retired sound. Miss Kipling is up to date on all vaccines, coggins, teeth, and farrier work done. Nexus Equine We believe there are times when horses find themselves in at-risk situations and need outside support and resources. Quite often, these are younger healthier horses who have a great potential for a second career or new chapter in their lives. Nexus provides assessment and training to every horse in our adoption program. As a result, all horses have a specific individually designed program that promotes the highest potential of each horse. ... (read more) The final step in our adoption process is matching the right person with the right horse, creating positive outcomes for the equine community. Horses need resources and support when they are no longer appropriate for current discipline or environment. Nexus provides those option either by putting horses in our adoption and transport programs OR by providing assistance to horse owners with veterinary and farrier care so that horses can remain at home. Nexus collaborates and partners with other equine organizations, horse and breed associations, national animal welfare organizations and horse enthusiasts on a local and national level to help horses more efficiently and effectively.
