I joke she’s the most gelding-like mare I’ve ever known. No drama, low/bottom in the pecking order in the herd of mares she’s with. Currently in foal to Sparky’s Shining Doll (reining stud) for an April 2026 foal. This foal should be a rockstar in the Ranch Riding events. She caught on the first try/breeding. Super easy to handle and work with. Is pasture sound barefoot, has some navicular changes on X-ray and occasionally gets ouchy on frozen or uneven/rocky ground, but again is pasture sound. Her heels were fairly contracted from years of shoes and has improved immensely with proper barefoot trimming and turnout. She does best with 24/7 turnout as she can get stiff when stalled. I was riding her a bit before deciding to breed, she did well in boots for a little extra hoof protection. She has all the training and buttons, but has enjoyed being mostly retired to be a pasture puff/broodmare. Kerry herself has 3.5 AQHA points in Western Pleasure from her show days. Has had two previous foals - first by Hez Only Trouble who unfortunately passed after a pasture accident as a coming 2 year old. This filly was successfully shown as a yearling in lunge line and halter on the MQHA circuit and was high point yearling filly in halter. Second foal by The Lopin Machine has been shown successfully at NSBA and The Quarter Horse Congress - she was the winner of the 2025 “Heroes on Horses” class. Easy to foal out and a great mom. Kerry is a great horse to have in the barn and a phenomenal addition to any breeding program with her bloodlines - being out of a daughter of The Invester, I’ve just decided to no longer breed. I can include a 2026 breeding to either breed back to Sparky’s Shining Doll or to Dun It In Platinum if buyer is interested. She is panel tested and NN across the board including MYHM and EJSCA (equine juvenile spinocerebellar ataxia). UTD on yearly vaccines & dental with veterinarian, does not have a current coggins. Has had 5 & 7 month Pneumabort-K vaccines.
