The Forward Ride
Good motor, even head. This horse wants to go, and mostly goes about it in an uncomplicated way. Athletic without the edge, forward without the drama. The kind of horse that makes ambitious goals feel possible without making every ride an event.
About this horse
$5,500 USD Disciplines: 4H, All-Around Show, Dressage, Endurance Riding, English Pleasure, Eventing, Halter, Jumping, Performance, Ranch Versatility With a very heavy heart, I am offering Maxximus Bey (“Elliot”), an 8-year-old HA-registered gelding (1/8 Saddlebred, 7/8 Arabian), for sale. Standing approximately 15.3–16 hands, Elliot is a true standout with elegant, floaty gaits, natural collection, and the presence to turn heads in any arena. Elliot has completed 120 days of professional training, followed by many additional miles with me personally. Throughout my 2025 royalty year, he traveled extensively with me and gained exposure to rodeos, heavy equipment, pigs, dogs, horses of all sizes, planes, and a variety of new environments. He hauls well and handles new places with maturity. Elliot is one of the sweetest, most genuine horses I’ve ever known. He can be cautious with new people at first, but once he bonds, he becomes incredibly affectionate—truly an “in-your-pocket” type partner. He also knows several fun tricks, including bow, smile, kiss, stand in a bucket, touch it, and “pick me up” from a mounting block, barrel, fence, or almost anything you can stand on. He is versatile enough to excel in dressage (with a solid foundation), jumping (my original intention for him), English or Western show, or simply being a cherished trail or arena companion. He is not suited for rodeo work, though occasional play-day events are acceptable. I will not sell him as a rodeo horse. I recommend Elliot for an intermediate rider or an advanced beginner. While he has been ridden by children, he is not a beginner’s horse. He is naturally forward, sensitive, and responsive—not to say hes pushy or naughty. Because of my current situation, Elliot has been sitting for a bit, and he will need a refresher as he returns to consistent work. He is not out of training—just out of practice—and will benefit from a rider who can offer him regular structure and time. Elliot is only for sale because I can no longer give him the time and resources he truly deserves. He has been an absolutely incredible horse for me and has helped me grow in more ways than I can express. As much as it breaks my heart, it isn’t fair to him to continue sitting while my life is too busy to keep him in the work and care he thrives on. He deserves someone who can enjoy him fully and continue bringing out the best in him. located in Dayton, WA, and finding the right home for him is my top priority. Please feel free to message me with any questions. Serious inquiries only. Plenty of photos and videos available. Video: [contact info removed]
