The Easy Day

Uncomplicated and content. Not trying to impress anyone, and that's exactly the appeal. Won't light up the arena, but won't ruin your Tuesday either. Consistent, low-key, and genuinely pleasant to be around - the horse that makes the hobby sustainable.

About this horse

At Auction – Sale Date: Nov 28, 2025 Disciplines: Country English Pleasure, Cowboy Dressage, Draft, Dressage, Driving, Pleasure Driving, Trail Riding, Western, Western Dressage, Western Pleasure Being presented at the Dixie Horse Auction Thanksgiving weekend. Maeve is a lovely 7-year-old, 16h, registered half Friesian mare. She is one of the first horses to the gate to meet you, and can’t wait to be groomed. She adores attention and being with her people. She will ride English, western, or bareback, and has begun learning how to ride with a rope around her neck. She trails rides alone or in a group, and will lead or follow. She has also been exposed to flags and tarps, a skidsteer, dogs, other horses, and all of the shenanigans her 16-year-old owner can think of. She has a fun-loving personality and is the type who will grab the tarp and shake it at other horses! Her owner will slide off her rump and crawl under her belly at the end of a ride. She has been off property to attend a liberty groundwork class this summer, and to the arena for her videos, as well as with her previous owners. She is well-behaved for the vet, farrier, and chiropractor. She is in the lower middle of the herd. Maeve is also an outstanding driving horse. She has been driven in town and in the country and would be a gorgeous CDC prospect. She would be a great match for an AA or junior rider, working with a trainer. She is more whoa than go, and is a slower walker out on the trail as well. She is light in your hands and is very good with voice commands due to her driving background. If you want a family horse, a dressage prospect, or a driving partner, Maeve can do it all with style! Come out and meet this fun girl.
