Temperament & Management
The Old Soul
Measured, forgiving, and built for teaching. This horse has processed enough chaos to stop being bothered by most of it. Won't set the ring on fire, but won't let you fall on your face either. Gives back exactly what you put in - with a little grace on top.
About this horse
Not For Sale Disciplines: Beginner-Safe, English, Family-Safe, Western Well-trained, bomb-proof Paint gelding available for a full 6-month off-site lease to the right home. He stands approximately 14.0 hands, is healthy and sound, and is equally happy spending a quiet afternoon on the trail or doing correct, uncomplicated flatwork. He is comfortable going out alone or in company and is exceptionally steady and reliable. He is being leased due to a temporary injury to his 83-year-old owner/rider, who otherwise regularly and confidently rides him out alone on trails. He is reliable, has an excellent temperament, and is suitable for a thoughtful, low-drama home. He rides both English and Western and has an excellent education. He is a former trained polo pony, which speaks to his responsiveness, bravery, and soft handle; however, this lease is strictly non-polo. He will not be leased to a polo barn or used for polo-related work. While he has no formal dressage training, he is well-suited to flatwork and would be appropriate for casual schooling, low-level flat classes, or introductory dressage at a relaxed, non-competitive level.
