Disciplines: 4H, Barrels-Poles-Gymkhana, Beginner-Safe, English, English Pleasure, Family-Safe, Gymkhana, Horsemanship, Kid-Friendly, Liberty Training Meet Ruby! Ruby is a 8 year old pony mare standing 10.2 h tall. Ruby is a suitable mount for an intermediate rider, and is also excellent as a leadline pony! She has been in our lesson program this past summer and did really well however she is a bit more on the sensitive side and prefers having less different people handle her. Under saddle, Ruby has a very solid walk and trot. She rides well on the trails or in the arena, and will cross water, ditches, bridges, tarps, go up and down banks, and do basic pole work and cross rails. Her canter is still a work in progress due to mostly being ridden by younger riders, however she has solid basics and she will come along nicely for the right rider. Fully functional emergency brake aka one rein stop is installed :) On the ground, Ruby knows her boundaries. She stands nicely to be groomed, tacked, bathed, for the farrier and vet, etc. She is an easy keeper and has healthy feet. Up to date on deworming and teeth. Ruby has been my 13 yr old working student’s project for the better part of the past year, and has been a perfect first project/teacher. She is a farm favorite, a good home is a must!
