About this horse

$5,500 USD Disciplines: 4H, Cowhorse, Parade, Ranch Work, Trail Riding, Western, Western Pleasure, Working Cattle George is a very handsome, 10 year old APHA registered gelding. He stands approximately 16hh. He rides smooth and knows his leads. I’ve ridden him out in pastures with cattle, on trail rides, and along the road. He loves to be ridden out and about. He backs and side passes. He’s been exposed to guns and a lot of loud farm equipment. He also got to ride through a Christmas parade at night with lots of lights and noises and did pretty well. George doesn’t buck or spook. He’s been ridden around town by himself and was really chill. I’ve thrown a rope off of him a few times just in the yard at things, and it hasn’t bothered him. He’s the first one to meet me at the gate and will come to me to be haltered (even in with other horses.) He gets along with other horses and is a social guy. He is barefoot and has never had any hoof issues. Easy keeper and stays thick. Does well with time off. Travels well. Tends to be on the lazier side and has more whoah than go under saddle. Has been around a young border collie. George is a great horse with a great personality. However, he can occasionally get a little spirited on the ground. Due to this, I will not sell to a beginner. He still really is a nice gelding that I have grown to love. I’m just going a different direction with horses. You are welcome to come see him! [contact info removed]
