About this horse

Disciplines: 4H, All-Around Show, Competitive Trail Riding, Dressage, Ranch Riding-Ranch Pleasure, Ranch Versatility, Western Dressage, Western Riding Journey has recently completed a month of professional training and is going nicely with an experienced, confident rider. Formerly a kid’s horse, he needed some tune-up rides and responded immediately to an experienced, confident rider who could redefine and reinforce expectations. Journey will thrive best with this type of rider who can keep him in a consistent program and help him reach his true potential. He would make an excellent 4-H project for a confident intermediate or advanced teen or an adult who wants to be his 'person', however, he is not being marketed for kid's horse or one to pull out of the pasture once in awhile. He's enjoyed bonding with the trainer, nickers when he sees her and has shown that he wants to please and be obedient. Journey is an expressive mover with good suspension for a QH, and shows real promise as a Western Dressage prospect for someone to continue building on his foundation. He has incredibly smooth gaits, lovely trot to sit and comfortable canter, and is a pleasure to ride. Friendly, “in-your-pocket”, Journey is easy to enjoy and be around. He is a sturdy guy with great bone and extremely sound and his owner would be negotiable on his price to a great fit for him. Currently shod on all fours, UTD on vaccinations.
