Temperament & Management
The All-Rounder
Comfortable in the middle of everything, which is rarer than it sounds. Enough forward to stay honest, enough patience to wait for you. Not a specialist - a generalist. The kind of horse that makes a good program great, or a rough patch survivable.
About this horse
$14,000 USD Disciplines: Dressage Price reduced to motivate an easy sale Jaida MRR – “June” 2011 | Half Andalusian | Mare | 16.1hh IAHLA Registered Located in Newville, PA Low five figures, starting with a 1 June is a lovely, straightforward mare who has been correctly brought along and is currently schooling Second Level. She offers naturally easy-to-sit gaits, a soft and honest connection, and a very rideable way of going. She’s responsive without being overly sensitive, and she genuinely tries to understand what you’re asking. She has fantastic laterals- shoulder in, haunches in, renver, leg yields, and half passes. June has schooled through 3rd level with a green change and pi/pa work but had time off prior to me purchasing (time off was no fault of her own) so I'm advertising as second level schoolmaster while working to boost her fitness back up to 3rd level. I expect this to be super easy to scoop her up now at a lower price, work through the winter months and have your bronze medal horse for next show season! She has a good work ethic and likes a consistent program, making her a great fit for an young rider on a budget who wants something talented, or a confident amateur in a program Temperament & Suitability: •No buck, bolt, or rear. •Can be a bit looky in new environments or on high-wind days, but she stays rideable. •Best match is a rider who can laugh off the occasional “ma’am, what is THAT?” moment. Not a dirty spooker, just an honest mare who appreciates someone with a sense of humor and a little tact. In the Barn: •Extremely easy keeper (she considers air a food group). •Barefoot with super good feet- has never been shod •Lives out 24/7 in a group of mares with zero drama. •Kind, respectful, and uncomplicated to handle. •Excellent for the farrier and easy for all routine care. •UTD on vaccines, Coggins, and dental. Why she’s available: Her price has been adjusted to encourage a smooth, timely sale as winter approaches and my competition horse’s rehab becomes a second full-time job. Possibly open to discussing trades for a young horse.
