About this horse

Impression is a 16.1, 2014 Trakehner mare by Elite Trakehner Stallion Sixtus, out of Iduna V. Imported from Germany as a 3-year-old for her athleticism, elegant movement and intelligence. ‘Saphira’ has proven herself to be a wonderfully talented horse with the confidence and desire to please that she was bred for. She has an incredible work ethic, excellent conformation, a natural uphill balance, and lovely, rhythmic gaits. She has been brought along correctly by a professional trainer but has also been ridden by students, so we know she is amateur friendly. Saphira is looking for a partner who can dedicate the time to maximize her full potential. She has been out of work due to a check ligament injury but has remained sound from the time of the injury throughout being brought back into work. Due to this injury we prefer to err on the side of caution and are not offering Saphira as a jumping prospect. Saphira is a solid 4th level dressage horse, slowly being brought back to that fitness level, she is a suitable mount for a capable amateur looking for an impeccably trained horse at a very low price. Her breeding potential cannot be overlooked, her sire Sixtus was the 2001 Trakehner Stallion of the year and has produced international competitors in Dressage, Eventing, hunters, and Jumpers. Like Sixtus, Saphira demonstrates the good movement and versatility the Trakehner breed is known for. Price reduced from 60k to 35k due to owner time constraints, price will increase with additional reconditioning and competition. Would also consider an on-site show lease with lessons included; a great opportunity for an amateur rider wanting to begin a show career on a capable mount.
