About this horse

Meet Hywayman, a very friendly, meet you at the gate, sweet gelding. He is a 2015 registered AQHA gelding that is the prettiest bay color that stands a stout 15 hands. He is better known as Maverick around the barn. Maverick has moves and is very athletic but is generally lazy in the arena. The owner has been running barrels on him and has been running 4D times. He neck reins, moves off your leg well and has a nice stop. If you ask, he will move out and go faster. He does also trail ride and enjoys it. He has gathered cattle, rode in some rough terrain and rides in the mountains. He has been branded on, doesn't get bothered by the smoke or action in the branding pen. Maverick is very cowy, has been started on the flag and would make a phenomenal sorting horse. He also has roped the Heel O Matic and would also make a great break away horse. Maverick can be a little watchy down the trail and needs more miles to be a solid trail horse for more of a novice rider. He has great ground manners, ties, bathes, is good for the farrier, and hauls well. He has even been hauled to a couple local gymkhanas for fun and did well. Not only is this gelding broke, but he also has the breeding to back him up with Peptoboonsmal and Doc O’ Lena on his papers. This is a consignment horse. Located in Templeton, California.
