If you’re looking for a big, stand-out, beautiful horse, he is your guy. Huckleberry stands 15.1 and weighs 1,300 lbs. He is about as conformationally correct as you could make one and built to last a lifetime. Huckleberry has been used to do just a little bit of everything. He started his career out with a cow horse trainer, where he developed a very fancy handle. He will run and slide, spin on a dime, move left and right with a cow, and lope around on a draped rein. Huckleberry then went on to life on the ranch; he’s seen long miles and knows a day’s work. He’s extremely dependable when you’ve got a yearling that needs doctored or calves that need branded. He’s been all over the trails and crossed any water, bridge, or down timber with ease. He’s sure-footed and very safe to ride in rough country. Huckleberry then went on to continue life in the arena. We have headed steers on him and sure think he’s making a good one. He runs hard, has a lot of natural rate, and a fancy move out of the corner. He’s been shown in the ranch versatility classes by riders of all levels and ages! He will babysit your young ones and is gentle enough for grandma and grandpa to enjoy as well. He truly is the special kind that’s going to work for whatever need you’ve got. He’s quiet and safe on the ground; he’s been around dogs, tarps, ATVs, and all the commotion. He’s great to shoe, bathe, clip, and haul. He gets along well with other horses and is about as unproblematic as you can get one. We’ve enjoyed having him around and hope the next person likes him as well as we have.
