Hortelana is formally trained as a pageantry horse. Close attention was placed on her form walk, poise, temperament, conformation and overall beauty. She has the looks to prove it! While Hortelana has been off the competition cycle for a number of years, she's quick to pick up her training with the right, patient, trainer. Hortelana's temperament can be best described as a curious teddybear. She can be bashful sometimes, but never unapproachable. ... ( read more ) Walk near the fence and Hortelana will likely mirror your path and try to meet you. She is known to nuzzle your neck if she feels extremely comfortable. She's calm when being worked on. Never fussy or impatient. And has a lovely walk and stride. She is not saddle trained. After his passing, the family decided to look for a new owner who could equally love her as much as my father did.
