Gunners Whimpy Chex is a 2021 model reg AQHA, gelding that is standing 15.1hh with a very stocky build. Gunner has something to offer everyone… if you want pretty, he is wearing a golden coat, has a heart of gold and has four white socks with a thin blaze to go along with it, making a perfect combination of chrome and class. If you are a pedigree person… Gunner has an all-star lineup in his family tree, ML Gunnerito who is sired by the legendary Pale Face Dunnit, Hollywood Dun It, Colonels Smoking Gun, Gallo Del Cielo (AKA Rooster) and Nu Check To Cash… and he only gets more impressive once you get in the saddle! To start with Gunner is trained to lay down on cue. He knows all the reining maneuvers and would be a great horse to put in the ranch shows! He lopes nice circles, slowly on a draped rein, has a great stop, spins both ways, side passes to open/shut gates and has a good reverse. Gunner has a great mind, he is very laid back and loves attention. He enjoys being pampered by the kids whether that be a spa day with a bubble bath or getting glittered up for a photoshoot. Although he is a preppy guy, he is always up for a fun trail ride through the mud and rough country! Gunner has carried the kids through the rough rocky terrain, deep water, thick mud and up/down steep slopes. He has been ridden in several different states, never gets in a hurry and is very sure footed making him a great ride for a beginner type rider. Gunner has been roped off of out of the box on the heel side and he will put you in position to get an honest shot at the heels every time. He has been ridden around the ranch, herded, sorted and pasture roped. Things are always calm and quiet out on the trails and around the ranch but don’t worry, Gunner knows the sound of a roaring rodeo crowd of 3000 people, screaming and cheering as the speakers blare Kid Rock’s song “Born Free”, as he lopes around the arena carrying the flag at the grand entry. While at the rodeo Gunner was been used to sort, pen and load rodeo bulls. The girls also used him to give “pony rides” on at 4 different rodeos. They had all ages of kids and adults stand in line for a ride on their horses. Gunner has been ridden down the highways, through town, the drive thru, by Walmart and he will be traffic safe! He has been under English tack and will go over the rails with ease. Gunner is not spooky and has been around tarps, wind dancers, bull whips and gun fire. Gunner has been Movie Star good looks, an All-Star pedigree, Rideability, Safe, Smart, Experienced, Versatile… yes he certainly does CHEX all of the boxes!!!
