About this horse
$15,000 Mr Bojangles (Beau) is a 6 year old, 15hh welsh/appaloosa gelding. He’s eligible for part welsh papers. Beau has a solid base on the flat with three cute, comfortable, and nicely balanced gaits. He’s an honest guy with a good mind who aims to please and learns new things quickly. He jumps around 2’6” courses in the arena with a good jump and scope for more. He did a bit of XC schooling last fall and was the same honest guy out in the field. ... (read more) He’s unfazed by the bank, ditch, and water. He trail rides confidently alone or with company. He can be a bit spooky, as in will fall in/speed up away from a corner of the arena or get a bit tense. Its very predictable and easy to control with no spin or giant reaction. For a good riding kid or AA he’d be a safe, fun prospect but he’s probably not the right match or someone very timid or lacking a solid foundation. He’s never offered to buck or rear and with most things is brave and unbothered. He never bats an eye at new jump fillers and is always willing to try new things. In the barn Beau is sweet and loves attention. He has good ground, is happy in his stall or turned out, and is an easy keeper. He’s healthy and sound with no vices and good feet. We could see him making up to be a cute BN/N event horse, he’d be great for pony club, local hunter/jumper, hunter paces, or just a fun all arounder. In West Rupert, VT.
