About this horse

At Auction – Sale Date: Feb 09, 2026 Flintlock is a very attractive 9 year old, 15 hand palomino gelding with a solid foundation and a correct way of going. He is a pleasure to ride in the arena and has been ridden correctly. He neck reins well, stands quietly to mount, and is responsive to leg and seat cues. He will trot along relaxed on a loose rein and will also pick up a headset when asked. His lope is smooth and balanced with nice, even circles, and he consistently picks up both leads. In the arena, Flintlock maintains a steady rhythm and understands his job. He moves willingly off your leg, stays soft through his body, and is uncomplicated to ride. He is comfortable working in consistent contact or on a draped rein and remains focused throughout his ride. Flintlock is also an enjoyable trail horse. He handles riding outside the arena well, goes willingly down the trail, and is confident riding out alone or with other horses. He crosses new terrain without issue, is not bothered by unfamiliar sights, and stays willing and steady in new environments. He will carry a flag, drag a sled, and is comfortable with a tarp being rubbed all over him, making him a reliable partner both in and out of the arena. On the ground, Flintlock has excellent manners. He stands quietly to be tacked, blanketed, and brushed, is calm and patient in cross ties, and leads well. He is easy to handle and respectful. He does well living either stalled or turned out and adjusts easily to different routines. Flintlock sells with a current negative Coggins and a current rabies vaccination. He is a good looking, well broke gelding that would make a great all around riding horse for someone looking to enjoy both arena work and trail riding.
