Temperament & Management
The Forward Ride
Good motor, even head. This horse wants to go, and mostly goes about it in an uncomplicated way. Athletic without the edge, forward without the drama. The kind of horse that makes ambitious goals feel possible without making every ride an event.
About this horse
Barrel racing-oriented Quarter Horse gelding with trail riding and western riding exposure, this 7-year-old AQHA red roan stands 16 hands and has been brought along with a stated foundation over the past several years. He has been started on the barrel pattern and is described as smart and willing to work, suggesting a forward performance type rather than a beginner mount. Management notes indicate he stands tied, is good for the farrier, stalls, and trailers well. A significant disclosure is prior right hock lameness in August 2025 after starting barrels; the seller reports recovery with no subsequent issues but notes he may need injections in the future.
