Temperament & Management
The Old Soul
Measured, forgiving, and built for teaching. This horse has processed enough chaos to stop being bothered by most of it. Won't set the ring on fire, but won't let you fall on your face either. Gives back exactly what you put in - with a little grace on top.
About this horse
Show jumping schoolmaster with documented experience teaching riders from beginner-level fences through 1.0 m work, this 14-year-old warmblood gelding is presented as a steady, lower-energy ride suited to educational use. The listing states he previously brought an adult rider to the 1 m jumpers, later went on lease as a beginner jumper for an adult amateur, and has since stepped in for a junior rider who won and placed in an .80 m jumper classic on her first ride on him. He is also used in lessons at home. Seller describes him as more whoa than go, comfortable at the canter, quiet in a snaffle, non-spooky, and especially suitable for cross rails through about .90 m, with preference for .85 m and under. Ground manners and loading are highlighted positively, and routine jumping-horse maintenance is disclosed.
