Temperament & Management
The Easy Day
Uncomplicated and content. Not trying to impress anyone, and that's exactly the appeal. Won't light up the arena, but won't ruin your Tuesday either. Consistent, low-key, and genuinely pleasant to be around - the horse that makes the hobby sustainable.
About this horse
Used primarily as a trail horse, this 2019 APHA gelding is described as well broke and experienced with the routine of hauling, stalling, and the general handling expected of a horse started for futurity work. He has been ridden by the owner, her husband, friends, and children, and the listing states that he goes out alone or in groups, although most of his riding has been with company. The description emphasizes a social, playful disposition and a strong interest in people. Buyer caution is warranted on soundness: he is explicitly not being sold as performance sound, reportedly drags his hind toes, has been vetted, had blistered stifles, and the cause has not been determined.
