Comfortable in the middle of everything, which is rarer than it sounds. Enough forward to stay honest, enough patience to wait for you. Not a specialist - a generalist. The kind of horse that makes a good program great, or a rough patch survivable.

About this horse

$15,000 USD Disciplines: 4H, All-Around Show, Dressage, Endurance Riding, English, Eventing, Jumping, Western Dressage, Western Riding DM Dahlia is a beautiful and friendly chestnut mare standing 15.1 hh and registered as a Half-Arabian with the Arabian Horse Association. She was bred in Washington and started as a 3 year old but then through no fault of her own the breeder let her sit until she came to Oregon in January of 2025. She was restarted in March 2025 and is doing super! She loves people and is very curious. She takes well to new things and seems to have an interest in trail riding. She is solid at w/t/c in different arena and enjoys walks on the trails with others or alone. She has been taken over some poles and will be started over fences in September 2025. *She does have a relation that has successfully competed up to Training Level Eventing with an adult amateur!* She cross ties, trailers, clips, bathes, and is UTD on all vaccines and teeth. She wears shoes all the way around and gets them done every 6 weeks. She is a little nervous about the farrier but does okay if they are calm and patient. She gets better each time she's done. She gets along with other horses and has been in turn out with a group (geldings and mares). She is currently being ridden English but has been in western saddles as well. She is a blank state and could go in any direction with someone who is capable of training a young horse. She is very personable and always greets you when you walk up to her stall. She deserves a person who will spend lots of time with her and take her places to do fun things! She is not marish or particularly spooky although the occasional shy at something is normal. She does not buck, bolt, or rear and feels very safe although she is best suited for someone who likes a sensitive horse with lots of energy and stamina but who also has a whoa! She is a very special horse and super enjoyable to work with! Someone will be lucky to have her!
