About this horse

$3,500 USD NEGOTIABLE Disciplines: Family-Safe, Kid-Friendly, Light Riding, Trail Riding Dixie is a beautiful palomono paint quarter type pony. Has only used for light riding with the grandkids. NEVER offered any bad behavior. Have owned her for nearly 4 years & utd on vaccs, teeth, feet. Did need a tooth pulled last year, all paperwork available to view. Positives: loves the kids, leads great, stands tied, trailers, walks nice, barefoot with no hoof issues and regular trims. Follows other horses great on rides, and has been ridden in parades. Not marish. My geldings are more affected than she is. Lol. Would be a great candidate to train to a cart. Need to know: hasn't been ridden beyond trotting due to age of riders, loves food too much and will paw at feeding time, picks through hay that is stalky and doesn't keep the neatest stall! Doesn't mind being stalled on the rare occasion she's contained. Transparency: when purchased, neck xrays showed 2 fused neck vertebrae from prev injury/accident. Is stiff to turn to the right, stretches out to graze but otherwise doesn't bother her. We do give joint supplements. Any on hand will go with her. She is adorable. Loves to be groomed, super tolerant of the kids, rides in a snaffle. ISO of a soft landing type home, not a flipper. She has been babied here. No foals that we can tell and no founder issues common to ponies. Reason for sale: need a larger size so adults can help with consistant ride time Other tack may be negotiable to go with her: blankets, fly sheets, fly boots, etc. She rocks the color orange.
