DENVERS DESIRE aka Shrimp is a 7 yr old Red Roan gelding by the one and only METALLIC CAT which has produced offspring that have surpassed $50 million in the show pen, METALLIC CAT has produced some of the top cutting, reining and rope horses to ever hit the arena floor. He’s out of DESIRES SMART LENA which is an own daughter of SMART LITTLE LENA which is over a $40 million dollar sire himself. Shrimp was purchased at the Western Bloodstock Sale as a yearling for 42k. He started his career in the cutting pen, then moved to the sorting pen where he went on to win around 10k with an amateur sorter from California all the way to Florida, He also won the open sorting in Fort Worth, TX. He was then purchased to make a rope horse. He has had one year of professional roping training where he has done outstanding on the heel side. He can be used as a switch ender horse also. He’s been hauled to roping’s and placed. His abilities don’t stop there. You can breakaway off of him, he’s been used for extensive work on a feedlot, doctoring cattle in the field, can carry a flag at a rodeo and tote a small child around. He has currently been lightly started on the barrels. He is the same horse every day, very gentle and kind. His abilities are endless. He’s ready to go on and be someone’s number one rope horse or take him home and make him a family horse that even your grandma can trail ride. He would be an outstanding all around horse for a high school rodeo kid as well. He has no vices, never had any maintenance, sound and ready to go.
