He has wisdom well beyond his years and is very secure in his life and under saddle work. Cyrus has a great solid build with the smoothest gaits that you can ride all day long. What type of rider Cyrus needs: He isn't a lazy horse but he also isn't a hot/forward moving horse. He does require a rider that knows how to use their leg correctly and to be effective. He is as soft as they come with very trained aids to move off the seat and leg. He does not do well with a rider that will nag at him to go forward every step, that will make him go slower. Cyrus has had incredible training since the day he was born and has been exposed to many different scenarios and obstacles. He goes over and through anything without question. If you are not someone that rides every day, that is ok with him as he will still be that safe, smart horse whenever you choose to get him out to ride. He has been on lots of trail rides alone and will gladly ride off of the farm alone and does great with other riders as well. Cyrus has been ridden by a woman who loved him so dearly and cherished him beyond measures. His beloved owner owned him since he was 7 months old. Under complete devastating circumstances his rider and owner passed away very unexpectedly and family has made the very difficult decision to find Cyrus's next forever partner. Please note, this is an EXTREMELY special horse who took care of his 69 year old rider every time she put her foot into his saddle.
